Apart from a brief afternoon fling with a chunky Dutch cruiser in Rotterdam a few years back, I’ve been with the same road bike since I started riding around San Francisco four years ago. We’ve got a great thing going, but I had grown complacent. I was ready to see what else was out there. So it was with a tinge of giddiness (and slight apprehension) that I made the decision to go on a break.

Nike Air Zoom Structure 18
A stability running shoe for everyday training, the new Nike Air Zoom Structure 18 feels faster, looks great and is built to slow down the rate of pronation—the inward roll of the foot while walking or running. The Air Zoom Structure 18 delivers a smooth transition through the combination of upper stability features like Dynamic Flywire technology working together with the outsole, which includes a lateral crash rail and a Dynamic Support stability system made up of foam with three different levels of density. Togther this stabilizes the foot onto the platform and slows down the speed that the foot is starting to roll in. The new contoured last provides added toe spring and combines with Zoom Air cushioning to give the snappy, quick-off-the ground feel. The Air Zoom Structure 18 will be available at Nike beginning in October.
