In celebrating the similarities between music and skateboarding, DQM and Vans have linked with Blue Note Records for an exciting footwear collaboration and coinciding film. During the appropriated flick from the trio of outlets, renowned musician/producer and the President of Blue Note Records, Don Was — alongside legendary skateboarder and jazz-inspired contemporary musician, Ray Barbee — digs deeper into the similar nature and connection of each creative outlet.
To go alongside the film, a dual footwear release will be taking place, as we see collaborations on the Vans OG Era LX and OG Sk8-Hi LX. Each silhouette showcases two colorways, as “The Colors” tandem drop will be taking place in-store on May 8 and online on May 11. “The Blues” pair will then be landing later in June. Each delivery will be solely available through DQM and come optioned in men’s and women’s sizes.
