Ace Hotel this week announces its new sister hotel opening in New York, aptly dubbed Sister City. Located in NYC’s Lower East Side, Sister City is positioned right next to the New Museum, in close proximity to restaurants, cafes, neighborhood bars and independent bookstores.

Sister City’s 200 intimate, efficient rooms were designed by Ace Hotel’s in-house creative agency. Following the launch, a restaurant named Floret will be opening on the ground floor, in addition to a rooftop bar with sky and spirits.

Ace’s new NYC hotel is now booking for March and April for just $99. Beginning May 1, following the opening of the restaurant and bar, Sister City’s rates start at $159. These prices are for Sister City members, though, so you’ll have to create an account here in order to take advantage.

Following a winter release from January, Earl Sweatshirt‘s DEATHWORLD looks ahead to the warmer months by launching a new Spring 2019 capsule.

The collection consists of four pieces, including a striped long-sleeve T-shirt, a striped short-sleeve T-shirt, a warm up jacket and matching warm up shorts. The shirts and the jacket welcome branding hits on the left chest, while the shorts feature tonal embroidery on the left leg. Furthermore, the tees are constructed from 100% cotton, and the jacket is lined with mesh. The shorts then welcome an elastic waistband.

Rami Malek Reportedly Being Cast as the Next James Bond Villain

Fresh from his Oscar win for his portrayal of Freddie Mercury in Bohemian Rhapsody, Rami Malek is reportedly being cast to star as the James Bond villain opposite Daniel Craig in Bond 25. According to Collider, Malek is currently in the final negotiation stages that would see him join a cast that includes Naomie Harris, Ben Whishaw, Léa Seydoux and Ralph Fiennes.

While not much is known about the Bond villain at this time, Collider points out that the character may be blind, according to comments made by actor Said Taghmaoui, who was previously up for the role.

Following Danny Boyle’s exit, Bond 25 is now being directed by Cary Joji Fukunaga. The film was intended to arrive this fall, but has since been pushed back to April 8, 2020. Naomie Harris returns to play Eve Moneypenny, while Ben Whishaw features as Q, Léa Seydoux as Dr. Madeleine Swann, and Ralph Fiennes as M. It is also rumored that Lupita Nyong’o may be cast as well.

The Ape Head wireless charger isn’t the only item BAPE is releasing this weekend, as the streetwear mainstay announces a new “Busy Works Colorful” collection of apparel and accessories.

BAPE revisits its “Busy Works” motif, applying the design to everything from T-shirts and hats, to carabiners, rugs and frisbees. We see short-sleeve tees donning “Bathing Ape” and “Busy Works” branding in a circular shape around the brand’s signature Ape Head graphic, paired with bucket hats that feature similar logo hits.

Will Smith Is Not Returning as Deadshot in ‘Suicide Squad 2’

He may be hard at work on the much-anticipated Bad Boys for Life, but according to Deadline, Will Smith will not be reprising his role as Deadshot in the impending Suicide Squad sequel.

The publication reports that Smith’s decision not to star in Suicide Squad 2 came down to scheduling. There was no prior official word as to if the 50-year-old actor would be cast in the followup regardless. Deadline also points out that there are no hard feelings between Smith and director James Gunn, as the exit was amicable.

Production for Gunn’s Suicide Squad sequel will reportedly begin this September in Atlanta. As it stands, the cast has yet to be confirmed, but expect Margot Robbie to return as Harley Quinn.

Suicide Squad 2 is scheduled to release on August 6, 2021.
