Editor’s Notes: For their latest collaboration, John Elliott and Suicoke bring Japanese punk brand Blackmeans into the mix to present the Lotus Slide and Lotus Sandal. The first three-way collab from the brands, the project sees Blackmeans’ speciality hardware applied to the Suicoke silhouettes.

Both the Lotus Slide and the Lotus Sandal arrive in all-black looks, available for men and women. The women’s styles feature a raised platform sole. The shoes are crafted from nylon, neoprene, and rubber, boasting a sturdy Vibram sole below.

In addition to the slide and the sandal, the collaboration includes a leather belt with matching Blackmeans hardware.

BAPE’s ABC Camo Takes Center Stage in Montblanc Leather Goods Collab

For its latest collaborative effort, BAPE joins luxury goods company Montblanc for a release that will seemingly bring new eyes to each respective brand. The limited edition collection consists of bags and accessories, ultimately blending BAPE’s disruptive and unconventional character with Montblanc’s premium leather craftsmanship and heritage style.

“This collaboration is the result of two universes merging – a luxury Maison and an urban street wear maverick. While they may seem to be very different, they are bound by the same focus on creativity,” says Zaim Kamal, Montblanc Creative Director. “These are pieces designed for individuals driven by creativity; who dare to make a bold statement through pieces they choose to accompany them through life.”

Featuring a slim document case with storage for your devices, a medium portfolio to carry documents and smaller gadgets, a wallet, and a matching pen pouch, each piece from the capsule is crafted from Saffiano printed leather, then showcasing BAPE’s signature green ABC camo pattern. The one-off collaboration between BAPE and Montblanc launches in late June in select Montblanc stores.

Everything We Know So Far About Microsoft’s Xbox Project Scarlett

Microsoft may have lost the battle for king of current-gen consoles to Sony‘s PlayStation 4, but the company that brought us the Halo, Gears of War, and Forza franchises is looking to take the crown in the war of next-gen gaming hardware.

After Sony announced details on the rumored PlayStation 5, all eyes have turned to Xbox for a strong counter attack. At E3 2019, Phil Spencer and the gang dropped an exciting update on their mysterious next-gen console announced at last year’sE3. From top-of-the-line specs, xCloud service, one launch title game confirmed, and a release window, Project Scorpio is Microsoft’s new console baby, and it has fans excited.

Little has been shared thus far, but with the console only a year and a half until release, many more details on Project Scarlett will surely soon follow. As for now, here’s everything we know so far about Microsoft’s next console.

During its E3 conference, Microsoft announced that Project Scarlett will be launching during the holiday 2020 season. This gives them a short leg over Sony who hasn’t revealed any information regarding the release date of their next-gen hardware. If they follow the same formula as the Xbox One, Microsoft will hold a major reveal event for the console ahead of E3 2020.

As of now, there is currently no confirmed price for Project Scarlett, but with many rumored hardware specifications already listed, many experts have calculated the console will most likely have a price range between $399-$499.

On the Xbox website, Project Scarlett is stated to “set a new bar for console power, speed and performance.” With all the specs that have already been confirmed, that statement will likely be true. In a ViDoc released at E3, the Xbox team revealed the console will be equipped a custom-designed AMD processor, high bandwidth GDDR6 memory, next-gen ray tracing, and a next-gen solid state drive (SSD). These specs will give developers the power they need to bring their creative visions to life while thousands of gamers will enjoy console gaming at 8K resolution at 120 frames per second with minimal load times.

Microsoft also reveals that the hardware will be 4x more powerful than the Xbox One X and has over 40x performance increases over current generation consoles. If all is true, games are truly in for a next-gen experience come holiday 2020.

So far, at least one console exclusive game is confirmed. At E3, Phil Spencer announced that 343’s Halo Infinite will be a launch title for Project Scarlett. Besides that, it’s anyone’s guess. The Xbox One launched with the console exclusive Forza Motorsport 5, so it’s more than likely Microsoft is planning to drop another sequel to its famous Forza racing series along with Project Scarlett.

Halo Infinite 

In an interview with Business Insider, Phil Spencer confirmed that “original Xbox games and Xbox 360 games that are backward compatible now on your Xbox One” will play on the next Xbox. He continued, “your Xbox One games will play, your accessories will play.”

To further the incentive of backwards compatibility, Spencer unveils that games with large existing communities will continue to grow through developer support on the next Xbox.

“I don’t want to announce anything about what another game team is doing,” Spencer said, “But I think what we would say at the highest level is if you talk about these games that have such massive communities today, a lot of those developers and studios are going to want to think about how they grow their community – not how they take it to zero and try to rebuild it.”

Players looking for the “Netflix of gaming”, Project Scarlett may be your go-to choice. Similar to the movie streaming service, Project xCloud will offer an instant library of games to be streamed directly to your device. According to Kareem Choudhry, Corporate Vice President of Gaming Cloud at Microsoft, “there are currently more than 1,900 games in development for Xbox One, all of which could run on Project xCloud.”

There’s still lots we don’t know about Microsoft’s ambitious streaming service, but Phil Spencer has pretty excited after stating, “When you look at other options out there, that library of content that’s available is such a critical thing. We have decades of working with partners to bring that together as an industry.”

What Went Down at Highsnobiety’s Paris Fashion Week Zine Launch & AFTER PARTY

Celebrating the launch of Short For issue five in style, and then bringing some of Paris’ brightest and boldest out for an all-night basement party.  

After days of focusing on the ’fits, the walks, and the extravagant showcases at Paris Fashion Week Men’s SS20, we took some time out to turn our focus inward and present some work of our own.

On Friday, June 21, Highsnobiety partnered with the Copenhagen International Fashion Fair (CIFF) to launch an immersive, multimedia exhibition of work by Japanese artist Jun Inagawa as part of the CIFF Paris showcase, which also featured displays by Souvenir, 032c, and more.

The exhibition marked the release of issue five of our zine Short For, the DIY offspring of our flagship print mag. Each new edition of Short For has a different creative concept led by a series of uniquely talented individuals from the worlds of art, photography, graphic design, music, and more. And this issue was led by Inagawa.

At just 20 years old, Inagawa has already established himself as one of the most exciting new artists in Tokyo, with his work catching the eye of a number of global brands, and musicians such as Playboi Carti, Lil Uzi Vert, and A$AP Rocky.















Inagawa’s work explores the idea of the “otaku,” a committed — verging on obsessive — subsection of devotees to Japanese manga and anime. This often marginalized group have at times been considered outcasts and misfits by mainstream Japanese society, but as Inagawa’s work shows, the emergence of anime’s influence in so-called “SoundCloud rap” and US pop culture and fashion is opening the door to a shift in perceptions.

His issue of Short For is presented as a scrapbook of selected works from these early years of his burgeoning career. The manga-style zine includes a multitude of photographs and sketches, depicting both Inagawa’s workshop and some of his work combining anime archetypes with motifs from hip-hop, street fashion, and graffiti.

For the CIFF Paris launch event, we presented Inagawa’s issue of Short For in an immersive, tunnel-style exhibition, which included an original Tokyo-inspired sound composition by London/Paris-based producer Daniel Ness, a super-limited-edition Jun Inagawa x Highsnobiety T-shirt release, and DJ sets by Highsnobiety Soundsystem and friends.













In the evening, attention turned to Jangal, a basement club in the center of Paris. Teaming up with Hong Kong party-starters Yeti Out and Kitty Cash‘s Voila Worldwidethe Highsnobiety AFTER PARTY saw some of Paris Fashion Week’s finest turn out and turn up into the early hours. As well as sets by Highsnobiety Soundsystem, Yeti Out, and Kitty Cash, the packed-out party featured a special guest set by A$AP affiliates J. Scott and Lou Banga, aka Cozy Boys.

The Official Highsnobiety x ‘Stranger Things 3’ Collaboration Drops Next Week

If you weren’t already excited enough for the imminent arrival of Stranger Things 3, we’ve got something to help you out. On July 4, the same date as the show’s highly anticipated third season finally lands on Netflix, we will be dropping a new collaboration. It’s the official Highsnobiety x Stranger Things capsule collection and it’s going to turn your street style Upside Down.

Comprising eight pieces, the capsule features two tees, three hoodies, two long-sleeves, and one crewneck. Each piece references iconic locations featured in the show’s latest installment, from Scoops Ahoy, the ice cream parlor where Steve works, to Starcourt Mall, where much of season three takes place, and other spots around Hawkins, Indiana.

The capsule has been created from scratch by Highsnobiety’s in-house team. Everything, from the sourcing of fabrics and decisions about specific cuts to the graphics and branding, was selected and designed by us, ensuring all garments not only pay homage to the show but are of the highest possible quality.

What’s more, the entire offering was produced sustainably: each limited edition piece is manufactured at factories in Portugal that support both environmental and labor-friendly practices.

The adidas “Home of Classics” Collection Pays Tribute to the Timeless White Sneaker
