Season: Spring 2019
Key Pieces: Yellow patterned pant and shirt set, checked suit, all-over printed short-sleeve button-downs, slacks with embroidery down the legs.
Editor’s Notes: For Spring 2019, BODE draws inspiration from collaborator and friend Aaron Aujla and his grandfather who made his way to British Columbia from India many years ago. Once settled in his new location, his Indian roots began to blend with the Canadian culture.
BODE thus pulls heavy Indian influences for the new season, playing with varying fabrics, from silks, linens, and beyond. Hand embroidery is prevalent throughout the range, in addition to vibrant colors and traditional patterns.
