Conceived and produced by creative agency Flickering Wall, “Denham Psycho” is a short film tribute to the controversial cult-classic American Psycho. Director Hugo Keijzer explains: “When I first heard Jason Denham talk about jeans it reminded me of the film’s legendary business card scene. I recognized the same manic attention to detail and ravenous appetite for craftsmanship. This triggered the idea for a modern-day remake of the scene.” According to Denham, the films reflects “the compulsive ‘otaku’ culture that tends to characterize the inner core of the denim scene.” The film was created to celebrate the kick-off event of “The Blue Yard” Denham Pop-Up Store & Cinema on Tuesday, January 14 in Berlin. Make sure to drop by if you’re in town and check out the current offerings over Denham’s online shop.

The link between the fashion world and the Super Bowl usually only goes as far the polka-dot motif left behind from bar-b-q sauce on your well-worn team jersey. That is, until now. Thanks to the Council of Fashion Designers of America and their collaboration with the NFL and Bloomingdales the connection is much, much stronger. Just in time for Super Bowl XLVIII, being held in New York City, 48 designers created one-of-a-kind football helmets to be auctioned off benefitting the NFL Foundation.
Whether you’re a football fan or not, the Super Bowl is a national cultural happening and Bloomingdales is continuously looking for ways to be uniquely involved in pop-culture through fashion, says Frank Berman, executive vice president of marketing at the retailer. Included in the collaboration are some of the most sought-after menswear brands including Billy Reid, Mark McNairy, Rag and Bone, Todd Snyder, and Richard Chai.
From Rogans cubic take to Snyders tux-inspired headgear, we rounded up ten of our favoritesand asked their creators to tell us what went into the design processin the slideshow below.
To support and learn about the auction, visit bloomingdales.com/superbowlhelmets and bid on the designer helmets from January 15th through February 4th

First devised by Calty Design Research in the Sony PlayStation Gran Turismo game environment, the FT-1 Concept is the ultimate expression of a Toyota coupe design. Inlets, ducting, and vents are features of the exterior design that help reinforce its track-ready nature. At higher speeds a retractable rear wing deploys and tilts forward to create additional downforce. The front engine rear-wheel drive configuration locates the cockpit far rearward within the wheelbase to improve weight distribution. The cockpit’s wraparound windshield and side glass openings are a distinct nod to the design of the legendary Toyota 2000GT.
The interior is a focused, highly functional “place of business” that locates the driver at the controls behind an F1 inspired steering-wheel. The intimate, low slung cockpit has its A-pillars set far back to help optimize cornering vision. The cockpit’s sense of minimalism adds to the purposefulness of the driver-focused environment with an emphasis on lightweight components. A color heads-up display keeps the driver’s attention on the road ahead, with vital information projected just above the steering wheel within the driver’s line of sight.
While technical specifications do not accompany the concept, one can assume that the FT-1 represents an ideally balanced front-engine, rear wheel-drive layout that is powered by a high-technology, high performance internal combustion engine.
