Along with the new A.P.C. Kanye Collection, A.P.C. presented today in Paris its new Fall 2014 Collection. As expected, the brand continues down its path and presents a timeless, modern men’s collection that is easy to wear, easy to match and rich with subtle details. Lots of blue, beige and light grey tones can be found in the collection. As usual you find a few prints and bold design elements in the line to set some accents, while the majority sticks to the known simplicity that we have all learned to appreciate. Look out for the new A.P.C. Fall 2014 Collection to arrive with retailers this summer.

Designed by adidas, the 2014 NBA All-Star uniforms have been introduced with glaring inspiration drawn from the host city of New Orleans. Featuring vibrant Mardi Gras colors and shiny brass and silver accents, the most notable attribute includes the inclusion of short sleeves and a prominent fleur-de-lis symbol on the front akin to the Christmas Day jerseys that had team symbols instead of numbers and mention of a particular city. The NBA All-Star game takes place February 16.

Belgian designer and creative director of Dior Homme, Kris Van Assche, presents his latest collection for Fall/Winter 2014 at Paris Fashion Week. Focusing on a palette of cool blue, grey, black, rust, and mustard, the offering was a sharply tailored roundup of jackets, pants, button-up shirts, sweaters and re-imagined vests. A textured black-and-white chevron print featured prominently, as did colorful geometric chest adornments. Silhouettes were slightly loose and bulky due to heavy layering, but still retained the clean and modern look the designer is known for.

Alexander McQueen‘s younger, more rebellious second line, McQ, unveiled its Fall/Winter 2014 collection at Paris Fashion Week. It captures the essence of the whole line, with garments given a punk-edge through the use of red tartan on jackets and outerwear, tough, military boots, ripped jeans and shredded knitwear. Design features include razor-sharp accessories, zip detailing and leather patches. The faded jeans and bomber jackets seem to be an ode to another subcultures of the era – skinheads. While sharp double-breasted overcoats and ankle-length tailored trousers feel like a nod to Mods.
